With everyday use, little issues can crop up, but before you think about replacing your washing machine, why not simply try to replace the faulty part yourself? Your machine doesn’t drain anymore? Check if the drain pump or filter is clogged or obstructed. Is the door stuck? Perhaps you just need to replace the door safety catch. The drum doesn’t spin anymore? Check the state of the drive belt...

For your machine to continue washing your laundry reliably day after day, you musn't forget to maintain it. Use diluted white vinegar on a cloth or a sponge and clean the areas that bacteria is most likely to develop on such as the door seal or detergent drawer. Don't forget to include a 90°C wash once or twice a month to neutralise this bacteria. You could use this wash to clean you cloths and towels for example.
