If one or both of the filters are worn, your appliance will fail to work at optimal efficiency and will release odours into the interior of your home.

If your appliance is fitted with a metal anti-grease filter, you'll be able to clean it, otherwise you'll need to replace it in the same way as the anti-odour filter.
