Description

Thermostat for BAUKNECHT / IGNIS / WHIRLPOOL ovens, cookers In order to achieve the perfect temperature for cooking or heating up your favourite food in the oven, a certain process must first take place inside your oven. Located behind the control knob, the purpose of the thermostat is to regulate the temperature. Equipped with a thermocouple sensor (the tiny metal cone that you can see at the bottom of the machine), it will detect the current temperature of the appliance and will then notify the motherboard. If the temperature recorded by the thermostat is too low, the heating elements start up. If, on the other hand, the temperature is already too high, the heating elements switch off. Problems indicating that the oven's thermostat is probably faulty: The appliance won't heat up properly Your appliance won't stop heating up The oven switches off for no reason The oven won't switch on at all A self-cleaning issue Your appliance won't heat up The fan continues operating when the oven is no longer being used There you have it - an overview of the problems that can be caused by your oven's thermostat! If you notice any of these issues and, having tested your appliance, you realise that your thermostat is defective, then you will have to replace it
