Stainless steel 300°C thermostat bulb for BRANDT / THOMSON / VEDETTE ovens, cookers
In order to achieve the perfect temperature when heating your favourite dishes in the oven, a process takes place inside your appliance. Located directly behind the control knob, the purpose of the thermostat is to regulate the temperature. Equipped with a thermocouple sensor (the tiny metal cone that you can see at the bottom of the machine), it will detect the current temperature of the appliance and will then notify the circuit board.
If the temperature recorded by the thermostat is too low, the heating elements start up. If, on the other hand, the temperature is already too high, the heating elements switch off.
The problems that may indicate a faulty thermostat are:
The machine doesn't heat up normally
The appliance continuously heats up
The appliance stops unintentionally
The appliance won't switch on
The oven has a problem relating to the pyrolysis function
The machine won't heat up
The fan keeps running after cooking
You have now seen the problems that are often caused by your appliance's thermostat! If you notice any of these symptoms and, having tested it, you realise that your thermostat is defective, it will probably have to be replaced
