A wine cellar is a real must-have if you want to keep your wine in the best conditions possible. But you should always keep in mind that a wine cellar needs to be maintained regularly to avoid unpleasant problems.

You should especially consider replacing the carbon filter for any appliances in your cellar at least once a year if you have any such devices. This will help you maintain optimal air quality in your cellar and prevent your wine being tainted by odours from outside.

We advise you also to clean out your wine cellar annually or at least take the time to pick up the bottles and clean them, then remove traces of dust from inside any appliances in your cellar with a damp cloth. And last but not least, before you switch everything back on in your wine cellar, clean the evaporator at the back with a brush, as this will optimise your wine cellar's operation.
