Multi-year accessibility plan
Preamble
This document aims to present the multi-year accessibility plan established by SOS PARTS, publisher of the site https://www.sos-parts.com, in accordance with the provisions of Article 47 of Law No. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005, on equal rights and opportunities, participation, and citizenship of people with disabilities.
Within this strategy, this multi-year plan sets out the measures adopted by SOS PARTS over the next three years to gradually make the site https://www.sos-parts.com/ compliant with RGAA 4.1 and, more broadly, with international WCAG recommendations.
1. Our digital accessibility policy and resulting organization
1. The approach
SOS PARTS aims to ensure that everyone has equal access to digital services.
To this end, our global digital strategy for the e-commerce site https://www.sos-parts.com/ integrates an approach promoting inclusion of people with disabilities in both updates and development projects for websites and applications.
This task is overseen by the management of SOS PARTS, with the following organization implemented:
● Appointment of a Digital Accessibility Officer;
● Organization of monitoring meetings involving staff from the relevant departments, meeting regularly to implement accessibility requirements. This organization may be adapted according to newly identified needs.
2. Monitoring methods
The accessibility of online public communication services is checked when implemented and gradually during compliance processes.
3. Handling user requests
During site compliance work, SOS PARTS implements a feature allowing users with disabilities to report difficulties encountered or suggested improvements.
Users can already submit their reports via the contact form: https://www.sos-parts.com/contact-us
2. Our digital accessibility team
The Digital Accessibility Officer reports to the IT department, with the role of Chief Information Officer.
The IT department is responsible for digital accessibility matters and has the following tasks:
- Establish a multi-year accessibility plan
- Plan audits and organize training
- Monitor the progress of the compliance plan
- Raise awareness among staff and ensure accessibility considerations are addressed
- Oversee implemented actions and monitor results
Any changes needed regarding tasks and human or financial resources allocated to digital accessibility will be decided based on continuous assessment of progress.
3 – Training and awareness
SOS PARTS ensures that its employees and, more generally, external stakeholders (suppliers, subcontractors, etc.) are informed about the need to integrate digital accessibility as a key objective in development or update projects.
Furthermore, exchanges with digital providers and partners are conducted to raise awareness of the importance of digital accessibility.
4 – External resources
SOS PARTS relies on various external resources for site development and compliance.
5 – New projects
Each new project now considers digital accessibility, including staff awareness and contractual commitments from providers.
6 – Contractualization of requirements
New providers whose services impact online digital accessibility are informed of compliance requirements, and a contractual clause is included in agreements.
7 – Evaluations and corrective measures
During user tests, stakeholders are encouraged to include people with disabilities when relevant to the tool being tested.
These tests aim to identify possible improvements to implement.
SOS PARTS sites have been evaluated for accessibility.
Audits will continue in the coming years for developments, updates, and new site or application projects.
Prioritization will be established based on site/app traffic and feasibility of compliance.
8 – Annual action plan review
The annual action plan is available here.
9 – Duration of the multi-year plan
This plan is valid for 3 years from the date of adoption.
