Microwave light not working, how to fix it ?
Have you noticed that your microwave light no longer turns on? Don’t panic, we are here to guide you fix this problem with this troubleshooting guide.
THE POTENTIAL CAUSES FOR THIS FAULT:
WARNING
If you have to disassemble the microwave, we advise that you be very careful.
The microwave is a device that produces large current discharges that can be fatal.
Never test and use a multimeter with the device connected to the power supply - the tester may not withstand excessive voltage, whether at the magnetron, transformer or capacitor.
Even when unplugged, the capacitor inside the appliance still produces high intensity electrical discharge.
We therefore advise that you allow the appliance to discharge for at least one day prior to dismantling it.
When dismantling the appliance, make sure to take an insulated pair of pliers and short-circuit the capacitor - with the appliance unplugged of course.
We also advise that you wear insulating gloves, so as to work in complete safety.

Electrical problem
An electrical problem, such as a blown fuse or faulty wiring, can prevent the microwave light from working properly. Check that the microwave is plugged in correctly and that the corresponding fuses or circuit breakers in your electrical panel don’t appear to have any problems, such as corrosion.
Burnt out bulb
The simplest cause can be a burnt out bulb. Like any light bulb, the microwave bulb has a limited lifespan. Try replacing the faulty bulb with a new one to see if that fixes the problem.

Connection problem
It is possible that there may be poor electrical contact with the bulb or its base, or the electrical connections may be damaged. Make sure the bulb is screwed in properly and in good condition. Visually inspect the connections for any abnormalities. Also clean the contacts to remove any dirt or corrosion that may affect the connection.
Failure of the control board
A failure of the microwave control board can also cause the light to turn off. The electronic components of the board may suffer damage due to power surges, short circuits, or other electrical problems. If the light does not turn on and all other causes have been ruled out, it is possible that the electronic board is defective.

Transformer failure
If the microwave transformer is faulty, it can affect the power supply to the lighting. A failed transformer may require replacement to restore the operation of the light. This failure can be the result of various internal problems with the transformer, such as improperly wound coils, connection problems, or electrical surge.
