Did you know?
A pixel is a small rectangular element that contains 3 subpixels of different colors: red, green, and blue. These pixels make up the images displayed on the screen of a video projector and of course all other types of screens, like your TV. When a pixel is stuck, it will only display in one of the 3 colors. In a dead pixel, all subpixels are permanently turned off, causing the pixel to appear black.

The lens is dusty

The lens is dustyA lack of device maintenance cause dead pixels to appear. This is because dust particles and small elements can enter the lens and disrupt the projection. Before considering any part replacement, first clean the lens to remove all traces of dust and then test it again. If that doesn’t fix the problem, move on to the next check.

The bulb needs to be replaced

The bulb needs to be replacedThe bulb of your video projector or overhead projector is used to display the image in the best way. Do you observe a poor image quality, a color problem or a lack of light and contrast? It is likely, if no more images appear, that the bulb needs to be replaced.

You can also try cleaning it by referring to the screen’s maintenance instructions.
