The Thermomix is leaking, how can I solve this problem?
Imagine this: you’re in the middle of baking a special cake for your friend’s birthday, and suddenly, you notice your Thermomix is leaking! Whether the leak is coming from the top or the bottom of the food processor, don’t worry. We’re here to help you identify the different causes of this malfunction and how to fix them.
THE POSSIBLE CAUSES FOR THIS FAULT:
WARNING
Before you do anything to your appliance, make sure you disconnect it from the power supply.
There is a risk of electric shock.
Wear suitable gloves if you carry out dismantling.
Risk of cuts.
Defective lid gasket
If your food processor leaves dripping or overflowing marks at the top of the bowl, the lid gasket is likely to blame. Check it’s condition. Does it look worn? Even if not, and the leak is around this area, we advise you to replace it.

The bowl is worn
The second cause of leakage from the top of the food processor can be the deformation of the stainless steel bowl. This damage can be caused by wear and tear, or too much heat. If this is the case, the defective part will have to be replaced.

The mixing blade seal is no longer watertight
If liquid is leaking from the bottom of the food processor, it is probably a sealing problem at the mixing knife seal. To solve this problem, you will have to change the entire mixing knife.
