A beer dispenser can display various symptoms depending on the part or system involved. Sometimes, no beer comes out at all, or the flow rate is very low. In other cases, there is excessive foam, making it difficult to serve. It can also happen that the machine won’t start up or that the cooling system isn’t working properly. Unusual noises or leaks may also develop over time.

Each symptom usually corresponds to several possible causes. A dispensing problem may be linked to the keg, the CO₂ cartridge, the dispensing system or a blocked part. Excessive foaming may be caused by the wrong temperature, a pressure issue or insufficient maintenance of the system. A machine that no longer switches on may be due to the power supply, a switch or an internal component. As for unusual noises or leaks, these may indicate wear and tear or a seal failure.
